Our Facilities

Jigsaw's purpose built rooms, with versatile interiors have been designed to suit each age group. Each room has its own quiet corner and story corner with an extensive selection of story and picture books. Even the babies have their own book corner, because by turning the pages of a book fine manipulative skills are developed and this encourages the use of books from an early age.

Art and craft activities are a very important tool in teaching children about shape, size, colour, texture and many other concepts, so therefore at Jigsaw we believe that getting messy is a great fun way of learning.

As well as interesting playrooms, we have a grassed garden area, a vegetable patch, a sports court, mud kitchen, soft tarmac area and Forest School.

Our Forest School runs alongside our garden and has dens, a tunnel, digging shed, pirate ship and the Preschool children take part in planned sessions which enables them to explore and enjoy all that Forest School has to offer whilst embracing the Forest School ethos and principles.

We are also lucky to have a fully interactive Sensory Room which enables the children to explore and experiment with sound, light, touch, taste and smell. The Sensory Room enables us to provide a stimulating and exciting environment for all the children to use. It also helps us to provide a fully inclusive provision of care and support.

Each room has quiet areas for afternoon naps and children can bring their favourite toy or comfort blanket to assist them to sleep, a home from home.
